UPMC Somerset is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Same Day Services team. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be an integral part of our care delivery team, setting the standard for high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, accountable, and autonomous nursing care using the nursing process within a Relationship-Based Care framework. Manage patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment and effective communication. Participate in PACU call hours as part of the role’s responsibilities. Establish collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve optimal outcomes. Engage in continuous learning through clinical development programs, feedback, and professional literature. Provide patient and family education to support the episode of care. Demonstrate critical thinking and identify clinical, social, and ethical issues in patient care. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice. Support a safe and inclusive workplace, recognizing cultural diversity and professional integrity. Participate in shared governance and unit-level initiatives to improve clinical care and workplace health.
