The **Staff Manufacturing Engineer** will be an integral part of the Supply Chain Technical Operations Engineering team. This role will lead and support new manufacturing engineering projects within Joints Reconstruction in a professional and efficient manner. This individual is responsible for completing their duties & responsibilities with minimal guidance and direction on engineering initiatives. This role will lead and contribute to NPD project core teams and develop positive relationships with internal and external strategic partners to deliver strong performance outcomes. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required along with strong analytical, problems solving, and organizational skills. Candidates must be able to balance multiple key technical projects, including advanced manufacturing research, leading feasibility studies in a team setting, and advancing NPD projects objectives aligned to project timelines. Candidates must be self-motivated, embrace personal challenges and have the ability to advance their own knowledge through training, independent investigation, observation, and be effective in leading change.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
+ Develops complex manufacturing engineering principles and practices to a broad range of supply chain engineering project plans, as well as associated key performance metrics, goals, and objectives
+ Works with management to drive decisions regarding engineering schematics and methods, and represents the company for comprehensive engineering structure, efficiencies, and final deliverables
+ Progresses, under general direction, Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering initiatives by ensuring that project plans are comprehensively reviewed, implemented, and completed on schedule and within budget
+ Defines detailed project plans that will lead to improved performance and efficiencies by capitalizing on standard project management tools
+ Determines the translation of relevant manufacturing data into broadly-understandable terms to communicate project progress with leadership.
+ Ensures effective and efficient use of project engineering tools and techniques to tackle opportunities
+ Reports status on assigned projects in various formats to various organizational levels
+ Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
+ Develop and plan project work schedules, track expenditures, and prepare monthly reports to ensure effective communication of ideas, information, and risks to appropriate partners.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering, Technology, or Science Field
**Experience and Skills:**
**Required:**
+ Minimum of 4 years experience working in manufacturing of medical devices or other highly regulated industry
+ Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely; verbally and in writing
+ Ability to multi-task, and simultaneously contribute to multiple projects while maintaining excellent organization
+ Ability to manage financial details of a project and track spend to a budgeted amount
**Preferred:**
+ Experience with CNC machining processes and equipment
+ Experience with CNC programming
+ Process integration / automation experience
**Other:**
+ Minimal travel: Less than 5%
+ Position is located in Warsaw, IN. - Fully On-site
