Main tasks
· Drive or support complex technical investigations both related to scrap, customer issues and continuous improvements
· Attend technical customer meetings, represent BorgWarner in complex technical topics towards the Customer
· Implement warranty procedure in the plant and follow towards the customer
· PSCR in the plant, handle and communicate topics related to product safety
· Track the claim costs and warranty costs and ensure all costs are negotiated before acceptance
· Support in meetings related to design reviews to new development projects.
· Support Change Management with technical input to changes/deviations.
· Support Supplier Development/Supplier Quality in quality topics.
· Resource for CAD support in different topics.
· Develop new or missing analysis tests and techniques.
· Secure relevant competence development within quality department
· Secure quality tools (e.g. templates) are available and used within quality department
Responsibility
· Ensure high level of quality of technical investigations
· Ensure close tracking of costs related to customer chargeback and warranty
· Ensure competence development within the department
Authority
· Take decisions related to technical investigations in the plant
· Speaking partner on behalf of BorgWarner in regards to technical investigations
· Stop the line in case of risking compliance with either product safety or product compliance
