Role Overview:
Provide technical and strategic support internally within Engineering Material Systems Organization mainly focused on efforts on Polymeric Matrix Composites.Build partnerships with internal and external parties such as universities and industrial organizations on both metallic and non-metallic materials and processes related activities.Work with regional supply chain through leading key projects and initiatives as well as potential new supplier development activities.Work with Services and Repair organizations on new process/technology implementation and process improvement projects.Participate on business and industry teams supporting overall improvement in the application of special processes for gas turbine engine parts.Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced materials science engineer with deep expertise in aerospace materials development, strong knowledge of metallic and composite materials, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, build strategic partnerships, and drive innovative solutions
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical & Materials Science Engineering. Master of Science and/or PhD in Materials Science Engineering is preferred.More than 10 years of experience in Aerospace Materials Development and Application through lifecycle of gas turbine engine parts such as development, new make manufacturing and fielded hardware.Good level of knowledge on metallic materials and composites, their physical and mechanical properties and processing.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and orally in English.Proven self-starter and independent worker who can work with cross-functional teamsComplete military service for male applicantsDesire to work on both organizational & operational activities and technical efforts combined.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding on Aerospace business and capability of industry and universities in Turkey.Knowledge on external funding mechanisms within Turkey and Europe.
