The Staff Engineer for Engine Control Systems in the Chief Engineer's Office will be involved in industry benchmarking and a gap analysis of GE Aerospace processes versus ARP4754, ARP4761, & MIL-HDBK-516C. The Staff Engineer will participate in industry groups driving these aerospace practices and will help to develop a strategic plan to update GE Aerospace processes consistent with these practices.

In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, will manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and will contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities

As the Staff Engineer, you will:

Partner with the CCE, Engine Control Systems and the Leader for the strategic planning process involving ARP4754/4761 and MIL-Handbook-516C compliance.Partner with Engine Systems, Flight Safety and Airworthiness & Certification on process improvementsCollaborate with peers on MBSE implementation as it adjoins these process improvementsDevelop and implement training modules in certification/qualification as necessaryEngage in the Controls technical community

Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering capacityLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
