The Hardware Senior Specialist is responsible for Project Leadership driving Life Cycle Management (LCM) of parts and key sub-systems in advanced Medical Devices through industry-leading Engineering and OEM partners. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how we collaborate with specialized and industry leading partners, as well as internal stakeholders, to support Radiometer’s product portfolio of Critical Medical Devices.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager – Hardware in BDC, Bangalore and is part of the Global Instrument R&D. The position is located in BDC office, Bangalore, India. It will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Drive Life Cycle Management (LCM) across both external Industri leading partners, internal project teams and stakeholders. You'll work at the forefront of advanced Medical Devices, leveraging unique intellectual property that integrates advanced chemistry, electronics, and mechanical sub-systems. Together, we enable precision diagnostics that help save lives - every single day.
• You will be key to establish Statements of Work and to ensure seamless collaboration across internal functions including design engineering, software, service, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to deliver high quality advanced parts and sub-systems.
• Define and continuously improve processes, utilizing our recognized Danaher Business System (LEAN Tools) for efficient and superior quality and Product Lifecycle Management of parts and sub-systems with External Partners.
• Driving BOM cost reductions and overseeing associated budgets
• Drive compliance, product quality and reliability, through documentation, change control and incl. transfer to manufacturing to ensure Industry leading Precision Diagnostics
The essential requirements of the job include:
• A master’s/bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering, potentially combined with Project management. Experience with HW design and development.
• Experience working in, and handling design documentation in, Medical Devices industry or other comparable regulated industry (eg Aerospace)
• 5+ years of experience from external partnerships and working with cross-functional project management preferably within healthcare or other regulated industries.
• Strong analytical, structured, and process-oriented mindset
• Proficient in English, excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities as well as effective communication and presentation skills.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
• Ability to travel – some travels to partner as well as other Radiometer sites incl HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Experience with and understanding of applicable design control documentation, eg. in accordance FDA 21CFR 820.30, ISO 13485 and other applicable standards.
• Proven track record of project management and Ms in Electronics for Mechanics, EMC knowledge and experience will be a plus.
• Experience from a multi-cultural global company setup
• Hands on experience of medical electronics and/or Mechanical parts design, CAD, GD&T/Geometrical dimensioning
• Operations Project managements disciplines incl FMEA, Design reviews, DFx, Design for Manufacturing, VAVE, V&V experience etc
