They will lead alternate sourcing, dual sourcing, or resourcing projects with our supply base, lead product scale-up and capacity expansions, resolve plastics-related quality issues, participate in cost savings and productivity initiatives, and engage with New Product Introductions (NPIs). **A Day in the Life:** Joining the Technical Sourcing Engineering (TSE) team means working closely with a multi-functional group of teams, such as R&D, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Regulatory, Product Management, Operations, and others. You may be engaged in all or some phases of a product life cycle, anywhere from conception to the product's end of life. Your projects may include multiple process technologies such as injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusions, die cutting, and secondary processes such as pad printing, plasma treatment, and sterilization. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter knowledgeable in tooling, molding processing, and project management. Experience with sourcing and procurement is desired. **How will you get here?** **Education:** + A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or other technical field is required. **Experience:** + 5+ years of hands-on product design, new product development, tooling, engineering, and manufacturing experience required. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:** + Addressing molding processing challenges. + Tooling design experience and procurement knowledge is desired. + Plastics industry experience is a must. + Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent. + Knowledge of SAP, Agile, and Oracle. + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, etc. + Design of Experiments, SPC, and statistical tools for molding process development and problem solving. + Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization. + Hard-working, results-oriented, and motivated to work efficiently. + Advanced technical writing skills to produce reports, documents, and project timelines. + Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and regulated industries is a plus. + Experienced with secondary operations and sterilization. + Travel - Up to 15% domestically and internationally.
