The Staff Systems Engineer will be responsible for overall electrical system performance and reliability. The successful candidate will lead trade studies associated with various system architecture proposals to help make a cross functional decision on the most suitable system architecture considering program deliverables, available resources, and other constraints.
The staff systems engineer will play a leading role for root causing system issues through modeling, reviewing test results, and performing other relevant studies. In this role, you will be working side by side various cross functional teams including but not limited to HV systems, LV systems, subsystem HW design, application SW, and system functional safety team to provide innovative solutions for improving system reliability.

Evaluate overall electrical system performance and reliability by performing / reviewing simulation and test results Go to expert to diagnose and resolve system issues Perform in depth system studies to identify system issues and propose correction actions while meeting program timing and milestones Lead required system architectural changes to improve its performance and reliability Work closely with validation engineers and system modeling engineers to characterize system performance under corner cases System team representative for system functional safety and FMEDA analysis Lead system issues root cause analysis and provide Interim Corrective Action (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Action (PCA) Perform trade studies to realize efficient system architecture strategies and optimize for cost Lead power budget studies to confirm positive margin under worst case conditions Stay up to date with the latest system architecture technologies in the EV industry Conceptualize, design, engineer, develop, and support the launch of next-generation electrical system architectures for electric vehicles
