Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Staff Digital Enablement Advanced Technology Lead - 15718. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. The Digital Enablement Advanced Technology Lead will serve the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division by defining a long-term strategy for the adoption and integration of AI and other emergent software technologies across the division. They will lead a team of data scientists, software engineers, and systems engineers in implementing that strategy. They will coordinate internally and externally to the organization and the company to form strategic partnerships, align to organizational objectives, and keep pace with the rapidly-changing AI technology landscape. Job Responsibilities: • Develop infrastructure and tools to support adoption and integration of AI capabilities. • Work with the Enterprise to ensure compliance and alignment to corporate AI initiatives, policies, etc. • Work with division programs to align priorities to support and accelerate program deliverables. • Work with potential industry partners to capitalize on emergent capabilities and connect them with division priorities. • Develop technical roadmap aligned to business goals and milestones. • Lead one or many teams in the implementation of that roadmap. • Document architecture and design of AI Infrastructure. • Provide technical leadership, direction and mentoring to other technical employees in the application of scientific principles, tools and techniques to achieve practical end results and solve complex problems. • Work with peers and business partners to identify workflows or processes where automation can improve efficiency and or reduce costs. • Provide Application support, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting. • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify the cause, determine possible resolutions, and remediate issues in existing applications. • Ensure that the security posture of AI Infrastructure meets or exceeds program requirements. • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain to procure hardware and software as needed. • Serve as Product Owner managing priorities, scope and schedule, as needed. • Serve as Control Account Management (CAM) or Work Package Lead (WPL), as needed. Basic Qualifications: • Must have Bachelor’s Degree with • 12 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 10 Years with Masters, 08 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree. • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access. • Experience with Generative AI • Experience with Neurosymbolic AI, including: Ontology Engineering, Graph data structures, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning • Experience with Full-stack Software Engineering, including: front end, back end and database development. • Experience with agile software development practices. • Knowledge of tools such as GitLab/GitHub, Nexus, Fortify/Coverity/SonarQube, and other systems used within software development environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience leading a multiorganizational team of 10-35 people. • Ability to socialize complex technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of experience. • Experience in research and development (R&D). • Experience as a solutions, software, or enterprise architect. • Demonstrations of technical judgment with significant impact to program success. • High proficiency in technical problem solving; to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring • Experience with software development pipelines and tools. • Experience in project management, including creating detailed plans of execution and schedules for complex projects. • Experience with earned value management • Experience writing proposals, RFIs, etc. • Experience developing risk/opportunity handling plans. Salary Range: $178,600.00 - $268,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
