+ Engineer high-performance data systems for real-time analytics, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance in factory settings.
+ Collaborate with embedded systems, hardware, and software teams to integrate data flows into Ford’s digital factory twin.
+ Generate actionable, real-time insights that empower operators and automated systems to anticipate and resolve issues.
+ Contribute to Ford’s pioneering in-house data platforms for assembly line optimization and performance monitoring.
We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

+ Identify and mitigate data-related issues in production, enhancing system scalability and data integrity.
+ Mentor team members on data best practices and provide guidance through reviews and technical discussions.
+ Influence data strategy, evaluate new tools/technologies (e.g., big data frameworks), and integrate them into manufacturing workflows.
+ Ensure data systems are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance in industrial contexts.
**You'll have...**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, similar or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
+ 6 years of experience in data engineering or systems roles, with a focus on production-scale data solutions.
+ 6 years experience building deploying and managing data pipelines and data technologies for real time anaytics, streaming and batch processing.
+ 4 years experience utilizing and managing databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, DuckDB) and ETL processes.
+ 1 + year experience leveraging cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, GCP BigQuery) and orchestration tools (e.g., Conductor).
**Even better, you may have...**
+ Familiarity with DevOps for data (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and data governance practices.
+ Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and data scientists.
+ Background in manufacturing data, IoT sensors, or real-time analytics.
