Job Description:

As a Staff Reporting Services Manager, you will take on a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and securing bp’s enterprise technology landscape. Your focus will span across platform architecture, system integration, cybersecurity, and operational continuity—driving modernization, automation, and resilience across mission-critical reporting and data platforms.

You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering teams, architects, and business partners to establish scalable governance frameworks, security standards, and technology roadmaps that ensure our platforms remain secure, performant, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise technology architecture, security frameworks, and platform engineering for bp’s core data platforms.Oversee end-to-end security posture of unified data platforms, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.Drive operational excellence across enterprise systems, optimizing for performance, scalability, and availability.Spearhead modernization and transformation initiatives, integrating new technologies with bp’s broader IT infrastructure.Develop and enforce enterprise governance, security policies, and risk management strategies aligned with global standards.Implement automated monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.Champion CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CDK and Azure Bicep.Ensure robust disaster recovery and high-availability strategies are in place for all enterprise platforms.Collaborate with technology partners, vendors, and internal teams to align enterprise solutions with business goals.Lead, mentor, and inspire engineering and operations teams to promote innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.Provide strategic input on technology investments, emerging cybersecurity threats, and operational risks.Partner with senior engineers to develop long-term technology roadmaps focused on scalability, resilience, and risk reduction.Align strategies and priorities across teams to enhance bp’s capability to scale effectively and sustainably.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Experience: 8+ years in enterprise technology, infrastructure, and security within complex, global environments.Technical Skills:Proficiency in C# and Python.Solid experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code.Deep understanding of ITIL, Agile methodologies, and enterprise IT governance.Tools & Platforms:Expertise with Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, and Spitfire.Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ingestion, governance, and visualization platforms.Demonstrated ability in optimizing multi-cloud, cloud-native reporting environments for performance and cost-efficiency.Proficiency in data indexing, distributed query optimization, and real-time/batch streaming architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in regulated industries, managing enterprise risk, compliance, and security standards.Exposure to AI/ML-enabled data engineering, leveraging automation for operational efficiency.
