**Description and Requirements**
**About Us**
In Lenovo SSG Information Technology we are a team of 30 globally who focus on SAP and commercial suite software operation, maintenance, and support. We are growing our presence at our second global HQ in Morrisville, NC and this position will join us on a hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite per week. We are looking for a Staff COTS Engineer who is bilingual in both Mandarin and English who has strong experience with SAP.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ System Operations & Monitoring
+ Manage daily operations, health checks, and performance monitoring of enterprise software (SAP/Oracle/CRM), ensuring 24/7 system stability.
+ Establish and enhance monitoring systems for automated fault alerts and rapid incident response.
+ Troubleshooting & Optimization
+ Lead root cause analysis for complex system failures.
+ Implement solutions and improvements.
+ Optimize database (Oracle/SQL Server/HANA/MongoDB) and middleware performance to boost system throughput.
+ Change & Release Management
+ Govern production change/release processes with rollback strategies to ensure zero-error deployments.
+ Coordinate with Dev/Test teams for patch installations, version upgrades, and system scaling.
+ Security & Compliance
+ Implement system hardening strategies; conduct vulnerability scans and penetration test remediation.
+ Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR/MLPS Level 2).
+ Automation & Documentation
+ Develop automation scripts (Shell/Python/Ansible) for routine operations.
+ Maintain operations manuals, disaster recovery plans, and technical documentation.
+ Disaster Recovery & High Availability
+ Design/execute disaster recovery drills.
+ Ensure RPO/RTO targets are met.
+ Lead DR environment setup.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of Experience in enterprise software operations: SAP/Oracle EBS/MS Dynamics.
+ Proficiency with Shell, Python, Perl scripting to deliver automations.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or relevant areas required.
+ Bilingual proficiency in both Mandarin & English.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience Leading P1 Incident Response.
+ Experience working with monitoring tools: Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus.
+ Proficiency in Window/Linux Server OS and middleware with Weblogic/Tomcat.
+ Experience with cloud-based deployments of enterprise software and CI/CD.
+ Containerization Experience with Docker, K8s or Terraform.
+ Ability to write automations utilizing open source and homegrown tools.
+ Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
+ Cultural Competency working across Chinese, American, Desi, European, and South American Desi cultural contexts, ensuring messages are communicated with clarity and tact.
+ Experience managing and communicating updates across different groups of stakeholders.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong relationship-building skills.
+ Prior experience on global teams a plus.
+ Certifications are a plus: SAP Basis, Oracle DBA, ITIL
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $84-105k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This is a hybrid position 3 days per week at our Morrisville location.
