Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Netflix is seeking an experienced content designer to work on our Ads Platform Experience Design team.

The Role

At Netflix, we aspire to entertain the world and are always innovating on how entertainment is imagined, created, and delivered to a global audience. We currently stream content in more than 30 languages in 190 countries, reaching around 300 million paid members.

We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members more choice in how they consume content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price, while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach audiences.

To help us deliver this compelling experience, we’re looking for a highly ambitious and visionary Senior Content Designer who will help enable our ads experience and integrations with our ads partners. You’ll partner closely with product designers working on delivering a delightful, engaging, and highly relevant ads experience. You’ll also be a strategic partner with our product, engineering, business, and sales teams to develop visibility into ads performance and member delight.

About Ads Platform XD

Ads Platform XD designs the foundational capabilities and technology for Netflix ads experiences and partnerships. Our team’s superpower is the ability to design creatively and collaboratively in highly technical and complex environments. You’ll be a critical part of one of the most talented and trailblazing ads design teams in the world.

About You

As an ads platform content designer, you’ll help set and elevate the Content Design vision and strategy, create foundational features for our enterprise tools, codify terminology, define copy style and patterns, and craft useful UI copy. In addition:

You’re a storyteller at heart who can craft and orchestrate cohesive narratives across touchpoints, in product, training, and business settings.

You’re a systems thinker who’s familiar with the development of information architecture, language frameworks, and design systems.

You’re comfortable working with technical partners to ingest and synthesize highly complex information, turning technical jargon into user-friendly content that’s consistent and legible for B2B audiences.

You’re a product thinker who’s comfortable with innovating and finding creative solutions.

You’re able to drive alignment and prioritization, while partnering with cross-functional peers across design, engineering, and product to define a strong UX for a specific audience.

You possess a keen sense of empathy for B2B audiences and a deep desire to mine opportunities in the space.

You communicate productively with visual thinkers and are comfortable advocating for your point of view in a candid, feedback-driven culture.

You have demonstrated experience in content design and UX.

Qualifications

6+ years of relevant experience: UX writing, content design, technical writing, taxonomy, and information architecture. Past experience in ads is also highly valuable for this role.

Demonstrated experience synthesizing business requirements and user needs into UI content for enterprise audiences.

Mastery of AP style and the confidence to know when to break the rules.

Ability to think critically about user journeys and content flows, and to connect the dots between them.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and traverse altitudes, from strategic visioning to tactical execution.

Highly collaborative, organized and self-directed; able to effectively prioritize and respond accordingly to the shifting needs of the team.
