About the TeamAs a potential job applicant considering a role at Nutanix, you would be joining the Services Delivery team as part of a global organisation. You would be delivering cutting-edge Day-one IT Virtualization Consulting Services. The team culture is focused on providing value that exceeds customer expectations and aims to shorten the return on investment for Nutanix’s clients. You will be able to work with a talented and dedicated team that collaborates closely to achieve common goals.You will report to the Services Delivery Leader and work in a hybrid Services delivery model, where you are encouraged to be in the office 3 days per week when not working at a customer site. This arrangement allows for a balance between collaborative in-person work and the flexibility to work remotely. Additionally, the role may require 20-40% travel, including visits to domestic client sites. There may also be exciting opportunities to travel overseas for internal team events or training sessions, providing a global perspective and fostering cross-cultural collaboration within the organization. Your RoleThe Nutanix Services and Customer Solutions team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Services team, working with our partners, ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration and automation services as well as project management.ResponsibilitiesBillable Project work 80% of time.Work with Nutanix Customers to understand business goals and translate them into cloud automation and orchestration solutions Evangelize Nutanix's vision for a multi-cloud world and offer hands-on experience delivering these outcomes for customers Run customer workshops to develop the Cloud requirements and design and document these for customer review and approval.Design service catalogs for Self-Service Provisioning (SSP) leveraging the Nutanix Cloud Management to provision and manage mode on applications delivered to both private cloud and public cloud end-points (note: Nutanix NCM experience not required and will be provide on the job)Design services that leverage cloud native architectures, microservices like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as IaaS and PaaS architectureDevelop detailed blueprint specifications that developers will use to write code and develop the automation components. Integration with 3rd party software products like (Infoblox, Active Directory, Service Now, etc) via RESTAPI is integral to this work.Work collaboratively in a scrum agile team leveraging a variety of DevOps tools (e.g. Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, etc) as part of the CD/CI pipelineWork with software development teams at a hands-on level to design and write codeDevelop and test end-to-end blueprint incorporating all developer code to deliver the desired outcomeParticipate in a limited pre-sales involvement to provide services overlay to the existing sales motion primarily as a SMECreate toolkits and best practice documents and whitepapers What You Will BringA minimum of 5 years of experience as consultant in the storage, virtualization, VDI, or cloud space.Excellent architecture expertise with in-depth understanding of cloud architecture patternsAbility to whiteboard solutions interactively with customers and develop robust architectural documentationHigh comfort level using one or more automation tools or orchestration application stacks and frameworks (e.g. Terraforms, Lambda, Azure Pack, Azure Stack, OpenStack, Cloud Stack, VMware vCO, or Microsoft Systems Center Orchestrator)Experience with developing and managing cloud-computing environments like Amazon EC2, Azure and/or GCPExperience developing scalable cloud microservices using container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and MesosphereAbility to develop and debug software scripting and code in at least one of the following languages (Powershell, Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Javascript, etc.)Understanding of architecture and use cases for configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and SALT StackLeverage DevOps tools like GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Artifactory, Zephyr, etc. to deliver automation and promote a DevOps cultureExperience with building and running large scale, distributed, high-availability, fault-tolerant, multi-tier applications running on both Windows and LinuxAbility to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of detailPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems Understanding of Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V) Experience in Network Virtualization Technologies (Eg NSX or ACI) Work ArrangementHybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
