Description:
You will be the Staff Component Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's Microwave Center of Excellence. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Digital and RF/Microwave Products, and you will play a key role in ensuring the electrical components in the modules meet the highest reliability requirements and product life cycle requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Staff Component Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Researching component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles, and component construction processes
• Generating Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings, and Altered Item Drawings
• Leading component part standardization, part selection, and process change notices
• Developing component qualification test plans and executing part qualifications with test houses
• Developing component screenings and interfacing with customers to present part changes and impact to hardware
• Leading Component Failure Investigations and participating in qualifying alternate test houses for part finish mitigations and part qualification
• Researching and determining the impact of PCNs and obsolescence on programs

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
1. BS Degree in electrical engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience/combined education and 9 years of professional level experience.
2. The ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity is required.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical component parameters and packaging is required.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of high reliability military component standards and specifications is required.
5. Experience with software tools like Siemens Xpedition EDM library cockpit and
6. Some knowledge of high reliability military component standards and specifications such as MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-38534, MIL-PRF-55342, MIL-PRF-55681 is required.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills are required
8. The ability to lead projects effectively is required.

13. Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Desired Skills:
-An MS level technical degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or closely related technical field may be desirable.
-Experience performing system reliability calculations is strongly desired.
-Experience with MS Access or similar database systems is desired.
-Experience with component thermal analysis is desired.
-AutoCAD experience would be a plus.
-Experience with CSAM (C-Mode Scanning Acoustic Microscopy) evaluation would be a plus.
-Experience troubleshooting electrical test failures is desired.
-Experience in Root Cause / Corrective Action is desired.
-Experience in Plastic Encapsulated Device qualification testing is desired.
-Experience with DPA (Destructive Physical Analysis) techniques is desired.
-Knowledge of Automotive Electronics Quality Standards would be a plus.
-Demonstrated knowledge of Automotive Electronics Quality Standards such as AEC-Q100, AEC-Q101, AEC-Q200 would be a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
