The Staff Civil Engineer will prepare site development design packages in support of critical electric infrastructure projects across the Northeast. A key focus area will be client and peer to peer interaction on both site-based and linear projects. The Staff Civil Engineer will work wiith the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting civil plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.

·Perform civil design of projects from the conceptual phase through construction.

·Perform site access design, grading earthwork modeling.

·Design soil erosion sediment controls and stormwater best management practices per state or local guidelines.

·Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.

·Prepare stormwater management studies and SWPPP.

·Design utility (water/sewer) connections to public mains.

·Prepare civil construction specifications, quantity take-offs, and provide bidding support.

·Review contractor submittals, RFIs and prepare as-builts.

·Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

·Apply strong knowledge of commonly used civil engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the civil engineering services industry.

·Be responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

·Be responsible for effective communication with other disciplines and project stakeholders.

·Be responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
