Description
We are looking for a dedicated governance risk and compliance specialist to join our team in Lehi, Utah. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge in governance, risk, and compliance while contributing to the organization's operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with established governance and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate business processes and systems to identify risks and recommend actionable improvements.
• Perform thorough audit reviews, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance evaluations, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to assess cybersecurity risks and implement measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Analyze governance structures and processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational objectives.
• Utilize advanced process controls and risk assessment techniques to enhance the organization's compliance framework.
• Leverage expertise in cloud platforms, including AWS GovCloud and Google Cloud, to address security and compliance challenges.
• Develop and maintain documentation for audit activities, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for future reference.
• Lead workshops and discussions to educate teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and regulatory changes to proactively address compliance impacts.
Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in auditing, specifically in governance, risk, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and other compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS GovCloud and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of risk management processes, including cybersecurity and vulnerability assessments.
• Familiarity with governance models, structures, and processes.
• Ability to conduct detailed risk assessments and develop actionable mitigation strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, or information technology.
