Staff Applications Engineer
Open to applicants from locations, remote work mode available. **In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + The roles will include: 1. Working and interacting with a wide variety of NI staff and NI Alliance partners in semiconductor test engineering, test program structure, hardware design, and fixture design in support of customer solutions. 2. Generating requirements document that can be to finalize statements of work 3. Defining and implementing project plans, leading project achievements and holding reviews to ensure meeting requirements and ready for deployments. + Hardware Tasks Responsibilities 1. Understand the design and validate analog and digital circuits covering signal interconnect and data communication protocol based on Device Under Test requirements 2. Participate in the creation of coordinated NI modular hardware into a turnkey test system based on test requirements 3. Evaluate coordinated hardware on system reliability, testing accuracy and total system cost of test 4. RF related knowledge and experience is a plus + Willing to travel domestically and abroad in support of opportunities and projects (~20%) 1. Support NI system development activities at customer sites 2. Resolve NI system issues at customer sites to meet stability and reliability expectations 3. Work with customers and contract manufacturers to improve NI tester performance 4. You possess a strong customer focus approach, cognizant of the needs and happiness of clients in your interactions and decisions. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + B.S or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology or higher + 2 to 5 years of relevant shown experience in a System Design Role, Application Engineering, Technical Field Sales or a Test Engineering Design Role 1. RFIC or mixed-signal IC testing and validation 2. RF FEM, On-Wafer test, IPD, ADC/DAC, LED, MEMS sensor, PMIC &etc. 3. Software and system development, including test case development 4. Text-Based Programming, C++, VB, Java, etc. 5. Test platform software (SmarTest, IG-XL, etc) 6. Major semiconductor ATE platform experience (V93000, Ultra, J750, Pax, etc) 7. Experience in common test engineering instruments: source measurement unit, digital pattern instrument, digitizer, etc. + Proven understanding of the following concepts and principles: 1. Sources of measurement error 2. Appropriate selection of instrumentation and equipment layout 3. Integration of hardware and software 4. Electrical ground and shield concepts 5. Proficient in using software tools for PCB design and crafting schematics. 6. Statistical analysis of data (Cp, Cpk, GR&R) + Proven track record to: 1. Work efficiently in a group development environment, 2. Structure problem-solving skills - diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions, 3. Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently, 4. Persistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completion, 5. Quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products. 6.
