Salary: $50-70k/year DOE
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries, including accruals, loan accounting entries, and intercompany transactions
-Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, loan, investment, and deposit-related accounts
-Assist with preparation and timely filings/submission of financial statements and regulatory reports (e.g., Call Reports, FR Y-9)
-Maintain fixed asset ledgers and calculate depreciation in accordance with bank policy
-Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accurate daily cash balances
-Assist in compiling schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
-Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and banking regulations
-Support the month-end and year-end close processes
-Participate in process improvement and internal control initiatives
-Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting as needed
-Assists in the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the CFO, Senior Management Committee and Board of Directors
-Provide operational support for payroll and assume backup responsibilities as required
-Performs other duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
-1-5 years of accounting experience; banking or financial institution experience preferred
-Knowledge of regulatory reporting (e.g., FFIEC Call Reports) is a plus
-CPA or progress toward CPA designation is a plus

Bachelors

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Strong knowledge of Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.
-Technical and comprehensive knowledge of finance, financial planning, accounting, and tax areas of a business including an excellent understanding of GAAP
-Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
-Must be efficient with strong attention to detail
-Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and oral/written presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across business lines and work in a team environment
-Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem solving
-Excellent mathematical concepts
