Description We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in North Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing trends, and supporting the month-end closing process. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity in financial statements. • Assist in month-end closing activities, including variance and trend analysis. • Perform expense analysis to monitor and manage costs effectively. • Process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. • Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports. • Identify and analyze variances to support decision-making and improve financial performance. • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and ensure compliance with regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related field. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing balance sheet reconciliations. • Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting. • Strong analytical skills for expense and variance analysis. • Experience with accounts payable processing and related tasks. • Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. • Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
