Staff Accountant
Job Title: Staff AccountantJob Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic accounting team with the potential for long-term growth. As a staff accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the company.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries.Manage accounts payables and accounts receivables.Assist in month-end closing and reconciliation.Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting.Experience with journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required.Minimum of three years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to make independent decisions on routine office activities.Ability to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction.
Work Environment

This role is fully on-site, located at the company headquarters. The accounting team, including the VP of finance and cost accountant, is situated on the top floor, which will be renovated to a modern design later this year. The work schedule follows a 980 schedule: Monday through Thursday for 9 hours, with every other Friday off, and on work Fridays, the shift is 8 hours. Shifts typically start between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, depending on departmental and management requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05/hr.
