Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations through meticulous accounting practices and payroll management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in creating invoices, handling reconciliations, and managing month-end processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and process invoices with accuracy and attention to detail. • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. • Manage payroll processing using Intuitive software, ensuring timely and precise execution. • Generate and submit state sales tax reports in compliance with regulatory standards. • Support expense reporting activities, including overseeing submissions through Expensify. • Utilize Excel to create pivot tables and analyze financial data effectively. • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation. • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting. • Contribute to corporate tax preparation and filing processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in Intuitive software for payroll and accounting tasks. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax reporting processes. • Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis. • Experience with journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Familiarity with expense reporting tools such as Expensify. • Ability to complete accurate account reconciliations. • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
