Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Liberty, Missouri. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record accurate journal entries to ensure consistent financial reporting. • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are updated and balanced. • Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify balances and transactions. • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data aligns with company objectives. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. Requirements • Proven experience in journal entry preparation and management. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and accounting principles. • Expertise in account reconciliation and problem-solving. • Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures and tools. • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. • Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
