Description Robert Half is recruiting for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a minimum of three years of experience in accounting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled regularly. • Utilize accounting software such as Intacct and QuickBooks to streamline processes. • Perform month-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, including posting payments and resolving discrepancies. • Conduct account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to verify financial data. • Analyze and research discrepancies in financial records to ensure accuracy. • Create and maintain reports using Excel tools such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. • Assist in developing efficient workflows to enhance accounting operations. • Collaborate with team members to address accounting challenges and improve systems. A Bachelor's Degree is accounting is preferred with 3+ years of experience. The position is Hybrid but all candidates must live in the Knoxville area.
