Description Position: Staff Accountant (contract-to-permanent) An expanding luxury home builder is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their growing team on a contract-to-permanent basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will support the accounting department with full cycle accounting responsibilities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and preparation of financial statements. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Perform job costing analysis to support accurate project financial tracking. Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights. Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Sage 300 experience highly preferred. QuickBooks experience preferred. Strong knowledge of job costing in a construction or project-based environment. Experience with AP, AR, and financial statement preparation required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
