Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Beverly Hills, California. In this Contract-to-long-term role, you will play a key part in managing partnership accounting, investment bookkeeping, and day-to-day financial operations for a property management firm. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a stable role, taking full-cycle bookkeeping responsibilities for multiple properties. Responsibilities: • Record partnership and trust data, including K-1s and investment account information, into accounting systems. • Prepare and organize financial documents to assist with tax filings and returns. • Execute catch-up work on multiple outstanding tax returns to meet deadlines. • Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. • Manage payroll processing and deposits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Provide bookkeeping support for multiple mobile home park properties. • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure financial goals and deadlines are met. • Be available for weekend work as needed to accommodate project timelines. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation, including sales tax and corporate tax returns. • Proficiency in handling journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Familiarity with K-1 reporting and partnership accounting. • Strong knowledge of AMSI or similar property management software. • Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Availability to work weekends when required to meet critical deadlines.
