Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Davie, Florida. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who excels in managing financial data and supporting organizational accounting operations. The role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Responsibilities: • Clean and organize historical accounting data to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Perform daily, monthly, and periodic accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Assist with the onboarding and implementation of NetSuite software for the organization. • Coordinate with regional finance teams to address accounting needs and ensure alignment. • Manage and reconcile all cash and check deposits across multiple bank accounts. • Review and process credit card statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies. • Provide comprehensive support for accounts payable operations, including document preparation and vendor payments. • Prepare timely payments to suppliers and vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to approved invoices. • Investigate and resolve invoice processing issues and discrepancies in purchase orders. • Verify and reconcile vendor account balances and student account inquiries, ensuring proper communication and resolution. Requirements • Proficiency in corporate and sales tax, including tax return preparation. • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry processes. • Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks software. • Familiarity with software implementation and accounting system setup. • Ability to perform accurate reconciliations and manage financial data. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Prior experience in accounts payable and payroll-related tasks is desirable.
