Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Franklin, Indiana, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to full-cycle accounting operations within the automotive industry. Candidates will work on-site five days a week and play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and processes. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain the general ledger. • Handle corporate tax-related tasks, including sales tax calculations and corporate tax return preparation. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely reporting of financial data. • Utilize S2K systems to perform accounting functions and improve workflow efficiency. • Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity. • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Analyze financial statements and provide insights for decision-making. • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns and handling sales tax calculations. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management. • Familiarity with S2K systems or similar accounting software. • Ability to work on-site five days a week in Franklin, Indiana. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication and organizational abilities. • Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
