Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Salem, Oregon. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate year-end financial records. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including tracking and reconciling transactions. • Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate and timely entries. • Conduct month-end close procedures, ensuring all accounts are balanced and reconciled. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records through detailed analysis. • Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency. • Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and financial reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, with expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Demonstrated ability to complete month-end close procedures accurately. • Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and financial reporting. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
