Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia. This role focuses on managing daily accounting operations with precision and efficiency, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment and play a pivotal role in supporting key accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Record and process journal entries to accurately reflect all business transactions. • Prepare and issue invoices to ensure timely billing and revenue tracking. • Support inventory management by assisting with control and reporting tasks. • Allocate credit card transactions to appropriate expense accounts. • Process expense reports and assign them to their respective accounts. • Conduct reconciliations and promptly address any discrepancies identified. • Assist in preparing sales tax, business tax, and S-Corp returns. • Facilitate employee onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with company protocols. • Provide support for payroll operations and ensure timely payroll processing. Requirements • Minimum of an associate degree in accounting or a related field. • Familiarity with QuickBooks software is preferred. • Experience with payroll software, such as ADP, is advantageous. • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Solid understanding of bank reconciliations and general ledger tasks. • Skilled in handling journal entries and month-end close processes. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in an on-site setting.
