Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Kennett, Missouri. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial processes while ensuring compliance with tax and payroll regulations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to support monthly and annual financial reporting. • Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate payments. • Manage payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. • Utilize QuickBooks to handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable. • Assist with corporate tax return preparation and filing. • Review and reconcile billing statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reporting. • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and budgeting. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within accounting operations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or related roles. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax filing requirements. • Experience with corporate tax returns and journal entries. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks. • Degree in Accounting or a related field strongly preferred. • Familiarity with billing processes is a plus. • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
