Description We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time Staff Accountant to join our team in Sacramento, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to high-quality work. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Perform reconciliations for balance sheets and other financial accounts. • Prepare monthly financial statements and related reports. • Generate and distribute annual membership invoices. • Collaborate with auditors and assist in the annual audit process. • Support the development of budget templates and contribute to budget planning. • Utilize accounting software and tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, and Dynamics 365 to optimize financial operations. • Manage month-end close procedures, including journal entries and general ledger reviews. • Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and standards. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in expense management tools such as Ramp and Bill.com is preferred. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is highly desirable. • Strong skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting software. • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently. • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. • Knowledge of general ledger and month-end close processes. • Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
