Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in the Middlesex County, NJ area. In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month end closing procedures, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with account statements. • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain up-to-date ledger accounts. • Support the month-end close process by reviewing financial data and ensuring timely reporting. • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment approvals. • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and streamline accounting workflows. • Assist with resolving discrepancies in financial data and accounts. • Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting procedures and improve efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and bank reconciliations. • Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred. • Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger processes. • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. • Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing accounting discrepancies. • Knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
