Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Holland, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The role involves hands-on accounting tasks, with an emphasis on reconciliations and financial reporting, and includes the potential for a flexible work arrangement after initial onsite training. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity. • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams. • Provide support to the finance department by assisting with various accounting tasks. • Maintain compliance with company policies and standards while ensuring the accuracy of financial records. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making processes. • Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and lookups, to improve efficiency and manage large datasets. • Utilize accounting software, such as NetSuite, to streamline workflows and manage financial information. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience). • 1-3 years of accounting experience, particularly in reconciliations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups. • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial tasks. • Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams. • Experience with accounting software, such as NetSuite, is advantageous.
