Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dodge County, Wisconsin. This role involves managing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company's financial operations through precise reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and skilled at handling diverse accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record financial data accurately, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. • Manage accounts payable and oversee cash processes to ensure timely and efficient operations. • Compile and analyze financial information to document business transactions and maintain general ledger accounts. • Perform monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts and intercompany accounts with other company locations. • Maintain fixed asset records and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing actual production costs to standard costs. • Coordinate the annual physical inventory process and ensure accurate reporting. • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by developing projections for future revenue and expenses. • Handle account receivable processing in collaboration with the corporate team. • Complete special accounting projects and prepare written communications as required. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience in corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns. • Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently. • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. • Strong communication skills for preparing written reports and collaborating with team members.
