Description We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote flexibility with occasional in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting processes and systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze profit and loss reports to assess financial outcomes of events. • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. • Create and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Manage month-end close processes, including meeting deadlines and reviewing documentation. • Collaborate with production teams to organize financial data and ensure timely reporting. • Utilize accounting software such as Oracle Cloud and NetSuite to streamline financial operations. • Review and mentor entry-level staff’s work, providing guidance and ensuring quality. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records to maintain data integrity. • Apply advanced Excel techniques to analyze and organize financial data effectively. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with expertise in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. • Proficiency in accounting systems like Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP. • Strong knowledge of journal entries, month-end close processes, and bank reconciliations. • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation tasks. • Ability to manage time-sensitive and detail-oriented work effectively. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Strong communication and organizational skills for collaboration across teams.
