Description We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing full-cycle accounting tasks and ensuring financial accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, coupled with excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Responsibilities: • Handle full-cycle accounting processes, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial records. • Reconcile accounts to maintain the integrity of financial data. • Manage sales tax reporting and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations. • Prepare journal entries to support accurate financial documentation. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for financial tracking. • Generate corporate tax returns and ensure proper filing procedures. • Oversee general ledger activities to support financial statement preparation. • Adapt to various accounting software, with a preference for Sage, to execute daily tasks efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax and sales tax management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for creating and analyzing financial spreadsheets. • Familiarity with accounting software, with Sage experience preferred. • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills. • Ability to reconcile accounts and perform bank reconciliations accurately. • Solid understanding of corporate tax returns and compliance requirements.
