We’re currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Headquarters team!
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting key reporting processes, and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a commitment to learning, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. While prior experience is valuable, success in this role comes from initiative, adaptability, and effective communication, allowing the individual to grow and enhance financial operations.
What You Will Do:
Perform and support month-end activities, including closing sub-ledgers, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and conducting balance sheet account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare month-end flux analysis for all profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet accounts, identifying key fluctuations and providing insights to stakeholders on the reasons behind these changes. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying discrepancies and taking necessary corrective actions. Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and final reconciliations. Assist with audit processes, providing documentation and working closely with auditors to resolve queries for smooth audit completion. Ensure financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are properly documented, implemented, and continuously improved for efficiency. Participate in new business and system launches, including user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate accounting entries and financial reporting accuracy. Approach new challenges with a hands-on attitude, demonstrating a willingness to learn and take on evolving responsibilities as the organization grows.How You Will Shine:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1+ years of experience in accounting OR recent graduate with advanced coursework and internship experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). Active CPA preferred but not required. Highly detail-oriented and organized, ensuring accuracy in financial processes. Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and internal controls (preferred but not required). Eagerness to learn and grow, demonstrating adaptability and initiative in problem-solving.
