Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic FinTech organization located in New York, New York. This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining onsite collaboration with remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting key accounting processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records. • Manage general ledger accounts and conduct regular reconciliations. • Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment scheduling. • Perform credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely reporting. • Calculate and record accruals in compliance with accounting standards. • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate variances. • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and reporting requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in journal entry preparation and general ledger management. • Proficiency in accounts payable processes and reconciliation tasks. • Strong knowledge of credit card reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures. • Hands-on experience with month-end close activities and accrual calculations. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools relevant to the role. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
