Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our consultancy team in Wilmington, North Carolina. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record accurate journal entries to ensure proper financial documentation. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support accurate financial reporting. • Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice management and timely payment processing. • Manage accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely collection and proper recording of payments. • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities. • Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements. • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, specifically with journal entries and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to analyze financial data and solve complex problems. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. • Understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
