Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in San Francisco, California. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic healthcare industry, supporting essential accounting functions with precision and attention to detail. The role is fully remote, allowing flexibility while contributing to impactful financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Process cash entries for multiple bank accounts, ensuring accuracy in all transactions across legal entities.
• Manage and update fixed asset and prepaid schedules, making necessary modifications to align with reporting timelines.
• Handle accruals for expense reports, including those awaiting submission, and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare credit card expense reports and accrue charges as needed for reconciliation.
• Utilize Workday or similar systems to maintain and analyze financial records effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless accounting operations and compliance with organizational standards.
• Review and manage deposit allocations across various accounts to ensure proper distribution.
• Support the Assistant Controller with financial reporting and audits as required.
• Provide detailed analysis and documentation for journal entries and general ledger adjustments. Requirements • Proven experience in journal entries and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting processes, including modifications to schedules.
• Proficiency in Workday or comparable accounting systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience in handling cash transactions across multiple entities.
