Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Carlsbad, California. This is a contract position within the healthcare industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of multiple treatment centers. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise and a commitment to ensuring accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Handle general accounting tasks, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. • Compile and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting documents to support organizational needs. • Analyze, reconcile, and ensure all accounts are properly supported and documented. • Reconcile cash receipts and bank statements for multiple treatment centers. • Record and review intercompany transactions, assigning them to the appropriate treatment centers. • Serve as a liaison between the division and treatment centers, communicating processes and procedures effectively with Clinic and Regional Directors. • Prepare and record month-end journal entries and reversing journal entries to support the accounting close process. • Assist with ensuring compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on attention to detail. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Strong knowledge of sales tax and corporate tax return processes. • Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and analyze financial data. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
