Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Irving, Texas. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to build their accounting expertise and contribute to essential financial processes. The role encompasses responsibilities such as journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record accurate journal entries to ensure proper financial documentation. • Conduct reconciliations for various accounts, including bank statements and balance sheets. • Assist in month-end closing procedures to ensure timely financial reporting. • Collaborate with accounts receivable and accounts payable teams to support invoice processing and payment tracking. • Maintain organized and compliant financial records in alignment with company policies. • Gather and analyze financial data to aid in report preparation. • Participate in audits and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency. • Ensure the general ledger reflects accurate debits and credits for all transactions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Up to 2 years of accounting experience, including internships or co-ops. • Familiarity with accounting principles and general ledger processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems. • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of corporate and sales tax processes is a plus.
