We have an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team, based in the Downtown Houston office. As a key player in the team’s operations, this individual should be conscientious about their role and possess a strong “can-do” customer service attitude. The Staff Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
General Accounts Payable functions including setting up and maintaining vendor records, responding to W9 requests, process vendor invoices, review employee expense reports in Concur and assist with weekly check runsGeneral Accounts Receivable functions including preparing incoming checks for deposit, setting up and maintaining client recordsAssist in annual 1099 reporting processPrepare and enter journal entries Assist with preparation of audit work papers for external auditorsAd hoc financial analysis projectsGeneral administrative accounting dutiesQualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinancMinimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting roleMust be able to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficientlyWorking knowledge of accounting concepts, such as account reconciliation, A/P, A/R, general ledger, etc.Proficient in MS Office Suites – Advanced ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication and client interface skills
