Staff Accountant
Description 60,000 - 68,000 My client, a healthcare management company located in Old Bridge NJ, has an opportunity for a Staff Accountant. Benefits: + health + dental + vision + paid time off Responsibilities: + Work closely with other members of the finance team to support financial operations and reporting needs. + Accounts Payable and Receivable. + Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for review by management. + Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely manner. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments. + Expense Tracking: Track and categorize expenses, ensuring proper allocation and adherence to budgetary guidelines. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP), regulations, and internal policies. + Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using NetSuite software. + Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with special projects and perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by management. + Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions. Requirements Qualifications + Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders. + Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with demonstrated proficiency in NetSuite. + Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, with specific experience in NetSuite preferred. + Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record maintenance and reporting. + Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment. + Organization: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. + Knowledge: Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. Familiarity with US GAAP and accounting regulations. + Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
