Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Schlusser, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will manage financial records and provide essential accounting support to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and audit processes in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with corporate and business partners to enhance efficiency in general accounting processes. • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures for newly acquired entities. • Ensure consistency in financial statement reporting and analysis. • Prepare and post monthly journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail. • Conduct thorough analysis of various financial reserves. • Review and analyze month-end financial statements to identify trends and discrepancies. • Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation supports balances. • Compile and prepare Electronic Audit Evidence documentation to meet compliance standards. • Provide necessary support for internal and external audit processes. Requirements • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Proven experience in financial statement preparation and analysis. • Familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control requirements. • Expertise in corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax return preparation. • Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger management. • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial reserves and reconcile accounts. • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
