Staff Accountant
Job Title: Staff AccountantJob Description The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in managing financial operations across multiple restaurants and hotels. This role involves balancing revenue reports, processing invoices, ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger, and preparing monthly financial statements. The Staff Accountant will collaborate closely with restaurant managers to provide financial guidance and will cross-train with other positions within the accounting team. Responsibilities + Balance revenue reports, count cashier/server deposits, and make bank deposits. + Process invoices to ensure timely payments. + Ensure the general ledger is accurate for all restaurants. + Work closely with restaurant managers to provide financial guidance. + Prepare monthly financial statements for each restaurant to review with management. + Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly. + Reconcile gift certificate accounts for all hotels and restaurants. + Cross-train with other positions within the accounting team. Essential Skills + Two years of accounting experience required, with restaurant accounting experience preferred. + Knowledge of general accounting skills. + Accurate cash handling skills. + Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications + M3 experience preferred but not required. Work Environment The position is onsite in downtown Spokane, working within a team of five, including roles focused on payroll and taxes, hotel and restaurant accounting, and a controller. The company offers room for growth within a laid-back atmosphere and is part of a growing enterprise. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
