Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while maintaining compliance with internal controls. Responsibilities: • Record monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Manage accounts payable processes, including timely posting and vendor communication. • Reconcile investment portfolio statements on a monthly basis. • Review and reconcile travel and credit card statements to maintain financial accuracy. • Reconcile monthly bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Prepare detailed expense reports for internal review. • Organize and update vendor files to ensure accessibility and compliance. • Calculate monthly depreciation and amortization schedules for fixed assets. • Generate and update royalty reports on a monthly basis. • Provide assistance during the annual audit by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Requirements • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Strong experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger management. • Skilled in recording journal entries and overseeing month-end close procedures. • Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. • Ability to work with general ledger systems efficiently. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills. • Knowledge of financial controls and compliance requirements. • Previous experience in assisting with annual audits is preferred.
