Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients’ growing finance teams. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining general accounting practices, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Key Responsibilities + Perform general accounting duties, including preparing and recording journal entries and maintaining the general ledger. + Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing account reconciliations and variance analyses. + Create and maintain accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. + Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts. + Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits. + Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. + Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as needed. + Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes as required. Requirements + 2-4 years of experience in general accounting or a related field. Public accounting experience is a plus. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA or CPA-track candidates are highly desirable. + Experience with accounting platforms such as SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Oracle is preferred. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are a strong advantage. + Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. + CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
