Staff Accountants are responsible for:
+ Preparing journal entries and posting transactions
+ Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial data recordkeeping.
+ Oversee transactions for both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing and accuracy in entries
+ Assist with vendor and customer account resolution as necessary.
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or other regulatory standards.
+ Assist in creating budget vs. actual variance analysis reports.
+ Assist with internal and external audits by preparing accurate reports, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring all documentation is in order.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and company accounting policies.
+ Process payroll journal entries, depreciation schedules, and expense accruals.
+ Generate recurring invoices and process cash flow support documentation to management
+ Recommend and implement improvements in the accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
+ Effectively collaborate with accounting teams, managers, and external auditors to ensure goals are met.
+ Maintaining and managing fixed assets
Requirements
+ Previous experience with accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, Sage, or Yardi
+ Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
+ Proven ability to meet deadlines for reporting cycles and audit preparations, even in high-pressure environments.
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical/reconciliation skills are encouraged to apply.
+ Solid Excel experience
+ 2+ years staff account experience
